Listings for agencies and organizations that assist with the care of seniors in their own homes — also known as "aging in place." Programs range from delivery of "meals on wheels" and housekeeping assistance to house calls from licensed nurses.

EIM Care Coordination

A service of Seniors Plus, EIM is a statewide coordinator of in-home care services, including social workers, physical therapists, and licensed nurses.

Home Care & Hospice Alliance of Maine

A non-profit trade association whose members include home health care providers, hospice providers and other health care organizations.

Maine State In-Home Care Services

The Department of Health and Human Services offers several programs that provide supportive services to elderly and disabled adults in order to avoid or delay nursing home placement. In-home services are funded either through MaineCare or through state funds.

Savvy Caregiver courses

Administered by the regional Agencies on Aging, the Savvy Caregiver program is a 12 hour evidence-based training program that helps caregivers take care of family members or friends with dementia who are living at home.
