Maine State In-Home Care Services

The Department of Health and Human Services offers several programs that provide supportive services to elderly and disabled adults in order to avoid or delay nursing home placement. In-home services are funded either through MaineCare or through state funds.

Savvy Caregiver courses

Administered by the regional Agencies on Aging, the Savvy Caregiver program is a 12 hour evidence-based training program that helps caregivers take care of family members or friends with dementia who are living at home.
