A division of Spectrum Generations, Bridges Home Care provides in-home services to support independent living, including housekeeping, grocery delivery, transportation, and hygiene services for seniors living at home. Also provides 24-hour medical alert services, home safety assessments, and adult day care programs.
Eligible seniors can receive food assistance from local pantries.
Programs include geriatric and geropsychiatric consultations, geriatrics evaluation and management and a special care dementia unit.
Provides residential units administered by the Maine State Housing Authority. Rent is categorized as Income Based, which means tenants generally pay about 1/3 of their household income on rent; or Rent Restricted, which means that rents are typically based on a specified percentage of the median income for the area.
The Low Income Heating Assistance Program (LIHEAP) serves Somerset, Kennebec, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties providing assistance for income eligible household’s to offset the rising costs of home energy.

Volunteer opportunities include public health programs, prisoner outreach, and reading programs for preschoolers.
Central and Midcoast Maine’s Agency on Aging — a regional hub of resources, programs and services aimed at improving the health and well-being of older adults and their families. Programs include Meals on Wheels, caregiver support, social programs and transportation services to medical appointments.
