Community Concepts

The Low Income Heating Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides assistance for income-eligible households to offset the rising costs of home energy, whether you have wood, electric, gas or oil heat. The benefit is paid directly to client’s fuel vendor of choice.

Kennebec Valley Community Action Program

The Low Income Heating Assistance Program (LIHEAP) serves Somerset, Kennebec, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties providing assistance for income eligible household’s to offset the rising costs of home energy.

Maine Community Action Association

There are 10 regional Community Action Programs statewide that provide heating assistance, discounted telephone service, and limited transportation services for low-income households.

The Opportunity Alliance

Offers home heating assistance, weatherization services, and zero-interest emergency home repair loans for income-eligible households and individuals.

York County Community Action

Provides financial assistance for home heating fuel bills and in fuel emergencies; also provides loans and grants to very low-income homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize their dwellings or to remove health and safety hazards.
